Faculty Initiated Group Hire (FIGH)

Faculty Initiated Group Hire (FIGH) calls on UCSC faculty to propose strategic hires of groups of new faculty that will substantially increase the campus’ contributions to established or emerging disciplines. FIGH is a new process that operates in parallel with the normal procedure for allocating faculty FTE.
